Big- and small game hunting.
In Finnskogen you will find excellent opportunities for both big- and small game hunting. Some of what Finnskogen has to offer is hunting for elks, roe deer, woodland birds, hare and beaver. Gundersen Skog has three forest terrains for the hunting of woodland birds: 35.000, 14.000 and 7.500 decares respectively. These are let for a term of years, or on a weekly basis. The woodland bird stock has been very good these past years. There was only a moderate strain on the terrains during the hunting days in 2004, but still with very good catch. Early reports show that the woodland bird stock is indeed very good this year, and suggests an even better year than 2004. You will also get good opportunities for hare hunt, as well as exclusive hunt for beaver in Kynnavassdraget.

Roe deer hunting
These quite demanding form of hunting take place in pure forest terrains. Roe deer hunts are sold freely, or in combination with cabins. Prices for roe deer cards: Buck: NOK 500 Other deer: NOK 300.

Prices for a week: One hunter: NOK 3.000 (this includes cabin and trophy costs).
3-4 hunters: NOK 2.000 per hunter per week.

These prices include 1 buck per hunter, further quotas can be arranged.
Buck: NOK 700
Doe: NOK 400
Fawn (kid): NOK 200

Woodland birds
There are four terrains measuring 35.000 decares, 14.000 decares and 7.500 decares respectively. These are let for a term of years, or even on a weekly basis. A limitation is set on 4 hunters and 2 shot guns concurrently on bird hunts in the smallest terrains.

The price for a woodland bird hunt varies with the size of the terrain, as well as the standard of the cabin chosen. The elk hunt and woodland bird hunt coincide from the 5 th of October to 31 st of October.

Cabins
The standard ranges from very exclusive to basic. The exclusive cabins sleeps 10 people, has a sauna, solar power and a fishing pond, while the more basic cabins sleeps 4 people, and has a minimum of extras.

Beaver hunt
Good beaver biotopes exist in both terrains. The beaver hunt runs until the 10 th of May, and new hunting times will be posted promptly. Snow- and weather conditions these last few years have made hunting possible from the 1 st of April.

Prices including overnight stay
Weekend: NOK 1.300 per hunter (including hunting license for 1 beaver). For 3-4 hunters the price is NOK 1.000.
Week: NOK 2.400 per hunter (including hunting license for 1 beaver). For 3-4 hunters the price is NOK 2.000.
